Michael Deimler

Michael is a senior partner in the Atlanta office and is the global leader of BCG’s Strategy practice. From 2000 to 2005, he led BCG’s Travel and Tourism practice.
As head of the Strategy practice, Michael has responsibility for guiding the firm’s considerable investment agenda and training curriculum related to strategy. He has significant experience with classic topics like delivering business unit competitive advantage, driving growth agendas, and clarifying strategies in environments of complexity and uncertainty.He also oversees research on the emerging frontiers of strategy, including intellectual property strategies, Web 2.0, and collaboration.
Michael is the coauthor of numerous BCG publications, and in 2005, he was the coeditor of The Boston Consulting Group on Strategy, a book of BCG’s best thinking on management and strategy issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a consultant with The Wharton Center, a strategy consulting firm affiliated with The Wharton School. He holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.A. with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina where he was a Morehead Scholar.

Patrick Ducasse

Patrick is a senior partner in the Paris office. He has worked for BCG for 20 years in both the United States and France. His work has focused primarily on the branded-consumer-goods, retail, and media industries on a wide range of topics: strategy, operations, corporate development, organization design, and marketing and sales.
Patrick began his professional career in the world of advertising, working for Publicis, a leading communications group in Paris. Prior to joining BCG, he also worked for the French Industrial Development Agency in Chicago Patrick is a graduate of ESSEC Business School France and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Andrew Dyer
Global Leader—Organization Practice

Andrew is a senior partner in the Sydney office. He has been with BCG since 1994 and has led the global Organization practice since late 2007. Andrew is also a member of the Asia-Pacific leadership team. He previously led the firm’s Australian Financial Services practice and has played a variety of local office roles. During his time at BCG, Andrew has been heavily involved in developing the firm’s research on building accountable, engaged, and effective organizations and ensuring that this research has broad application across client work. He has also helped lead the firm’s research on successful wealth-management businesses.
Andrew has led a number of multiyear change programs for large service companies as well as engagements relating to strategy, business development, and growth.
Before joining BCG, Andrew worked for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and for the Australian Government in a Commonwealth agency.
Andrew holds an M.B.A. from IMD in Switzerland, an M.Comm. (finance) from the University of NSW, and a Bachelor of Economics (Honors) from the Australian National University.

Heiner Leisten

Heiner is a senior partner in the Cologne office. In addition to his role in the firm’s Insurance practice, he is a member of the Health Care practice. Since joining BCG in 1992, Heiner has led numerous strategy, process reengineering, and organizational effectiveness projects as well as some large PMI cases. His clients include global leaders in the primary insurance and in the reinsurance business.
Before joining BCG, Heiner completed an apprenticeship with Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie and was a trainee with Kaufhof Holding. He studied business administration at Cologne University and is a Diplom-Kaufmann.

Iván Martén

Ivan joined BCG in 1987 and is a senior partner in the Madrid office. He is the global leader of firm's Energy practice and is also an active member of the Industrial Goods and Organization practices. He previously serverd as worldwide topic leader for talent advantage in the Organization practice.
Ivan is an expert in helping CEOs transform their companies by defining the change agenda and assisting in the transformation. He has worked with numerous companies in the power, gas, oil, and sustainable development sectors, and with industrial goods clients in related industries to develop their strategic visions and support the implementation. He has also advised governments and regulators in different countries on issues related to energy regulation and sustainable development.
Ivan sits on the advisory boards of several foundations, companies, and educational institutions. He is a frequent speaker on organizational and energy issues and has authored a book on strategic planning as well as numerous articles on organization topics. He has a PhD summa cum laude in business administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Ron Nicol

Ron serves as global leader of the practice areas, leader of the Technology and Communications practice, and is a member of the Executive Committee. He works out of the Dallas office, which he opened in 1994. Over the last 20 years, he has also served as the global leader of the Organization practice and chairman of North and South America.
Since joining BCG in 1987, Ron's focus has been telecommunications and airlines, and he has worked on major business transformations with a number of Fortune 50 companies. Before coming to BCG, Ron held senior positions with Babcock and Wilcox and was a U.S. naval officer, serving aboard a nuclear ballistic missile submarine and teaching nuclear engineering.
Ron received a B.S. in physics with honors from the United States Naval Academy, where he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor Society Prize for outstanding engineering work. He also has an M.B.A. from Duke University, where he was named a Fuqua Scholar.

David Rhodes

A senior partner in our London office, David has led BCG's global Financial Institutions practice for the past five years. Since joining BCG in 1985, David has worked with financial services clients all over the world on projects involving major strategy and organizational change. Although his main focus is supporting senior management on questions of overall portfolio and governance, David continues to devote as much time as possible to working in the retail end of the business.
David is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and previously worked for Arthur Andersen. He received his bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence from University College, Oxford, and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Josef Rick

Josef is a senior partner in the Düsseldorf office and took over the role of global industrial goods leadership in 2005. In addition to his industrial goods role, he is a member of the firm's Operations practice. Since joining BCG in 1985, Josef has worked on numerous projects in the automotive, construction, transportation, and machinery industries. He also focuses on procurement, globality, and organizational changes.
Josef studied business administration and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Munster.

Marty Silverstein

Marty is a senior partner in the Boston office and is the worldwide leader of BCG’s Health Care practice. Since joining the firm in 1986, he has consulted to clients in most sectors of the health care industry, including pharmaceutical and diagnostic manufacturers, insurers, managed-care organizations, and hospitals.
Before joining the firm, Marty worked as an independent consultant to The New England's group health division, as a senior scientist/project manager at the Health Data Institute, and as a physician in private and corporate practices. He holds a bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in economics and natural sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Marty is board-certified in internal medicine, having completed a residency at Harvard Medical School.

Harold Sirkin

A senior partner in the Chicago office, Hal has been with BCG for 27 years. He has extensive operations experience across a wide range of topics and industries in all geographies. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the leader of the firm's worldwide E-commerce and Information Technology practice, and the North American leader of BCG’s Travel and Tourism and Operational Effectiveness practices.
Hal is coauthor of Globality: Competing with Everyone from Everywhere for Everything published by Hachette Books in 2008, and Payback: Reaping the Rewards of Innovation published by Harvard Business School Press in 2007. He is a monthly columnist for Business Week Online's Managing Channel and a monthly columnist for the New York Times syndicate. He has authored a wide range of articles for periodicals such as Harvard Business Review, Industry Week, The President, and the Journal of Business Strategy, and is regularly quoted in the press.
Hal earned his bachelor’s degree from The Wharton School (summa cum laude) and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago (first in class). He is also a certified public accountant.

Daniel Stelter

Daniel is a senior partner in the Berlin office. Since he joined the firm in 1990, he has been particularly interested in corporate development issues.In 2003 became global leader of the practice.
Over the course of his career, Daniel has directed numerous projects throughout Europe with a focus on defining portfolio strategies, implementing value based strategies, supporting M&A and IPO processes, and setting up strategic alliances and ventures.
Prior to joining the firm, Daniel studied business administration and holds a doctoral degree from Hochschule St. Gallen.

Wolfgang Thiel

Wolfgang is a senior partner in the Cologne office and has been with BCG since 1988. He has directed many projects on aligning business and IT strategy in a number of industries with a particular focus on global, multibusiness corporations.
Wolfgang has a special interest in the IT organization of the future and was for many years BCG’s global topic leader on IT governance and organization. He has moderated a CIO roundtable with participants from multinationals from Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific and has cochaired one of the leading IT management conferences in Germany.
He received his master's degree in mathematics, computer science, and economics from the University of Ulm, a maitrise in econometrics from the University of Paris, and a Ph.D. in economics with highest distinction from the University of Karlsruhe.

Miki Tsusaka

Miki is a senior partner in the Tokyo office. She has served as global leader of the PMI topic and was also head of the Consumer practice for the New York office. Since joining BCG Japan in 1984, she has worked with a wide range of clients, primarily in the consumer goods sectors, including home and personal care, food and beverage, and fashion and luxury.
At BCG Miki has consulted on a wide array of client issues including growth, profit enhancement, transformation, and organization redesign. Since 2005, Miki has been the global leader of the Marketing and Sales practice, focusing on leading the firm's thinking on marketing, sales, pricing, and consumer insight across all industry sectors. In 2005 she was named one of the "Top 25 Consultants" by Consulting magazine.
Miki received her undergraduate degree in Government and East Asian studies from Harvard College (magna cum laude) and her graduate degree in business from Harvard Business School.
