As one of the firm's newest offices, BCG Dubai will play a strategic role in serving clients throughout the fast-growing Gulf and MENA (Middle East North Africa) regions, working in close collaboration with our office in Abu Dhabi.
Having earned a reputation as one of the world's premier boomtowns, Dubai is a hot spot not only for the real estate sector but also for tourism, trade, transportation, and financial services. Large Dubai businesses are increasingly rolling out their business models abroad and becoming global competitors.
The office serves clients across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, telecommunications, retail, real estate, travel and tourism, and multibusiness portfolio companies. Senior executives in the UAE and neighboring countries are looking to BCG Dubai for insight in areas such as long-term strategic direction, growth in existing and new lines of business, and international acquisitions. Supporting these fast-growing organizations is becoming an increasingly important area of work for us.
As BCG Dubai grows, we will be hiring new consulting staff who will be complemented by experienced BCG professionals from around the world. We will place particular emphasis on attracting and developing the best talent in UAE.

In order to assist in our client's city planning initiative, we were asked to project the GDP and population growth for the next ten years. We were also asked to estimate the housing requirements for the city and whether a housing surplus or deficit would occur following the extensive residential construction undertaken by the government. Through extensive analyses of time series data we were able to develop projections for GDP, workforce and population per industry sector until 2017. We were then able to use these projections, as well as assumptions for income levels and future earning potential to assess the future housing market. Following our work, the client has decided to engage in similar projects throughout the city-state.
