BCG Atlanta opened in July 1995, when 14 consultants transferred from four other BCG locations. It is now a medium-sized office with a staff representing 14 nationalities. It's located in midtown Atlanta on the 37th floor of the Bank of America Tower. The office features a spectacular view of Atlanta's bustling downtown and nearby Buckhead, an affluent community that's home to a number of great restaurants and shops.

The office serves clients in a wide variety of industries, reflecting the diversity of both Atlanta and Southeastern regional marketplace. Most of Atlanta's client work is in consumer goods, industrial goods, travel and tourism, and technology. Consultants support their clients in all aspects of general management, with a significant number of assignments related to corporate development and strategy.

BCG Atlanta has been an active participant in the ambassador program, which sponsors exchanges of consultants among BCG offices. Atlanta has welcomed ambassadors from Buenos Aires, Düsseldorf, Jakarta, Paris, Stuttgart, and Sydney, and has sent ambassadors to London, Melbourne, Mumbai, Munich, and Sydney.

BCG Atlanta also supports the local community by lending a hand in the nonprofit sector. Its recent pro bono projects in metropolitan Atlanta have included work for several local educational institutions, the Boy Scouts, the Metropolitan Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and the Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Members of the BCG Atlanta family often find themselves doing volunteer work as a team as well as enjoying each other's company in a variety of social settings. Recent volunteer work has included efforts on behalf of The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, the Empty Stocking Fund, Habitat for Humanity, and The United Way.

Social impact

BCG Atlanta has a rich history of working with our community, through our pro bono work and through office community service projects. We have focused much of our community pro bono work with the city of Atlanta, with whom we have had a long working relationship. Through this work, we have helped the city solve complex issues that could limit the city's ability to grow. Specifically, we have worked in the areas of education, branding, water, and the Beltline, consolidating our efforts in order to achieve fundamental impact on the most important issues.
