BCG Beijing is The Boston Consulting Group's third office in the People's Republic of China and a key part of the firm's continuing growth in the Greater China region. Along with being an industrial and commercial powerhouse, Beijing has become the economic, scientific, and cultural center of the People's Republic. It has been the country's capital since the twelfth century.

Located in the heart of the city's financial and commercial districts, BCG's Beijing office is conveniently situated close to the mainland offices of numerous multinational companies, many Chinese national enterprises, and the offices of many Chinese government bureaus. BCG Beijing's office is just a 30-minute ride from the Beijing Capital Airport and twenty minutes from historic Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.

BCG's presence in Beijing dates back to the early nineties, when project work for our clients was done by teams from our Hong Kong and Shanghai offices. Since that time, our many multinational clients have continued to rely on us for market-entry and development strategies. Recent projects include a comprehensive go-to-market and operational- effectiveness strategy for a leading Chinese beverage company and a sales-force development plan for a major telecom operator. BCG staff are quoted regularly in the national media on issues related to corporate strategy and the development of China's key industries. BCG global experts regularly visit Beijing to meet with clients, government officials, academics, and the media.

Our staff includes a balance of local and international professionals with consulting experience in a variety of industries, including consumer goods and retail, banking and financial services, and technology and communications. In this dynamic and challenging environment, our office has worked hard to recruit, train, and develop our staff into a strong and cohesive team that's fully supported by BCG's regional and worldwide network.

With China's recent acceptance into the WTO, BCG's Greater China practice will play an increasingly important role in helping us better serve our state-owned, local, and multinational clients.
