The Mexico City was opened as a natural extension of the business success that had begun in the Monterrey office. As the world's largest city and the nation's capital, Mexico, D.F.—as it is officially known—is home to the country's main service sectors, including banking and retail, and is the headquarters for most multinationals doing business in the country.

Our Mexico City office is located on the 18th floor of the Torre Arcos, in the city's modern and fast-growing Santa Fe area. The office provides a spectacular view of the Valley of Mexico and is a short commute to most of the city's best residential neighborhoods.

The BCG offices in Mexico City and Monterrey are jointly managed, broadening the professional development, project staffing, recruiting, and administration resources available to each office. Monterrey and Mexico City work together on most projects, an arrangement made convenient through frequent 80-minute flights connecting the two cities. The offices work jointly on strategy, corporate development, consumer goods, marketing and sales, and organizational change work for their predominantly local, private sector clients.

In addition to client work, our consultants work on social-impact projects in support of community efforts in health care and education. A team recently completed a strategic and operational review for one of the country's leading private educational institutions.

Planetario Alfa is an arts and science museum that focuses on the cultural development of underprivileged children. BCG Mexico helped this institution redesign its product offering and communication strategy. The office also offers its support to Save the Children Mexico as well as organizations devoted to the development of young Mexican entrepreneurs. In addition, the office has also helped optimize the growth strategy of a major Mexican university to enable it to deliver the best education while maximizing the student coverage.
