Since its opening, BCG Singapore has grown and today, our office is home to consultants from around the world—Singapore, France, Germany, Holland, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, and The Philippines.
BCG Singapore is one of four offices in the Southeast Asia system, and our consultants work on projects throughout the region. While this requires traveling for the consulting staff, it also affords them the opportunity to fully experience the region's diverse client and work mix.
We are a young dynamic team who revel in helping shape businesses and creating impact for our clients. We believe in a culture of developing and rewarding talents, as can be seen in the ongoing training programs, sponsorships to business schools, as well as our "home grown" partners in the region. We actively look for talented individuals from diverse backgrounds and expertise.
BCG Singapore's client portfolio consists of private firms, multinationals, and government-linked organizations. Our areas of expertise include financial services, energy and utilities, telecommunications, technology, and industrial goods. Our collaborative work style and unique customized approach to find innovative solutions have helped us build strong client relationships.
The whole office comes together the last Friday of each month to reconnect and share our latest experiences. These important yet fun meetings are usually followed by a night of dining and social activities outside the office.
BCG as an organization is very committed to playing a part for social impact, and we are proud of our global partnerships with the World Food Program, Save the Children and several organizations in the global health arena. In Singapore, BCG has launched the business@school program—an educational initiative that aims to build bridges between business and schools—where BCG consultants coach students to impart real-life business know-how and skills. Aside from that, we have also been working actively with the Chao Yang Special School where time is set aside every month for volunteer staff to work with a targeted group of students. The office also practices a dollar-for-dollar match on all charitable contributions.

Business@school—This organization is a social-impact project that aims to bridge the gap between schools and the business world by offering students a chance to acquire business skills and insight in a structured manner. During the project, students first examine a large company, then a small company, and finally develop their own business idea. At the end of each of these phases, the students prepare a presentation of their findings that is then judged by a jury.
In their work, the students get coached by BCG consultants—not only an opportunity for the students, but also great fun for the consultants. Most of the consulting staff in the Singapore office are engaged in the program, either as jury members or as coaches.
We started Business@school in Singapore in 2005 and are now coaching for schools: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Raffles Institution, Xinmin, and Singapore Chinese Girls School. It is greatly received by students, parents, and teachers alike and was recently featured as a best practice at MoExcel—the Ministry of Education best practice sharing festival.
Chao Yang School—The Singapore office volunteers on a regular basis at the Chao Yang School, a local school catering to the special needs of 6 to 13 year old children with intellectual disabilities. The school helps the students achieve their fullest potential by equipping them with the necessary skills for independence and integration into society. In support of Chao Yang's goals, BCGers have been conducting monthly IT lessons on Internet skills. In addition, volunteers also take part in school activities such as setting up a games booth at the Chao Yang Carnival, sponsoring and participating in a visit to the Night Safari, and most recently, helping pupils to learn and appreciate science in their surroundings through a series of fun, hands-on experiments during Science Activity Day.
