BCG’s Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and Respect for the Individual are core BCG values. Diverse perspectives are vital for solving complex challenges and delivering innovative and effective solutions to help our clients succeed.
"In an increasingly polarized world, we stand together as a global firm—living our purpose and values, and embracing the richness of our diversity. Whenever I visit BCG offices around the world, I am so proud to witness the impact of our strong, diverse, multicultural community." — Christoph Schweizer

Our Guiding Principles

Led by our CEO, Executive Committee, and Chief Diversity Officer, we are committed to:

  • Fostering a fair and inclusive culture where all employees have the opportunity to thrive, recognizing that inclusion enhances employee well-being, motivation, and retention and leads to better outcomes for our clients.
  • Recruiting highly talented people with diversity of thought, expertise, culture, and experience.
  • Upholding our long-standing commitment to meritocracy by maintaining structured career progression, mentorship, and coaching for all employees, ensuring advancement is based on an individual’s contributions.
  • Strengthening our culture with affiliation events, relevant programming and education initiatives open to all BCGers.
  • Offering global, regional and local affinity networks to provide spaces for employees to connect. We support local networks and communities to reflect the specific needs of that location. Regardless of identity or experience, any BCGer is welcome to join these communities.
  • Supporting clients to find profitable, scalable impact opportunities for inclusive advantage.
"We work to create an environment where people feel included, and we uphold a meritocracy where everyone has the opportunity to succeed, with individual success based on merit." — Rich Lesser

Inclusion

Inclusion is a cornerstone of our experience and each of us plays a role in fostering inclusion in our workplace. Every BCGer has access to optional inclusion programs and an on-demand library of resources. Across BCG we have numerous sponsorship, mentorship, affiliation and education opportunities open to our employees.

Networks and Communities

To promote inclusion and affiliation, we have a number of networks and communities across BCG that are open to all—globally, regionally and locally. Through programming such as cultural celebrations, panel discussions, open conversations, external speakers, and community dialogues, we promote affiliation, education and community.

BCG’s Global Networks: Built for Connection, Open to All

Women@BCG

This year, we celebrate 25 years of enhancing BCG women's affiliation and job satisfaction through connection, allyship and mentorship. We partner with The Female Quotient, Forté Foundation, UN Women, and G20Empower to learn, build relationships and share best practices.

Pride@BCG

For 25+ years, we’ve supported LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies with fellowship and networking. We foster a culture of inclusion and participate in global initiatives like the World Economic Forum’s Partnership for Global LGBTI Equality, GiveOut, Open for Business, and OUTstanding.

Global AccessAbility@BCG

AccessAbility@BCG builds community among employees with disabilities, neurodiversity, chronic illnesses, or caregiving responsibilities as well as allies. We promote awareness, education about accessibility in the workplace, and partner with The Valuable 500, Business Disability Forum, and Disability:IN.

Beyond these global networks, our regional and office-led groups serve local needs, interests, and contexts, with some focused on racial and ethnic groups (including, but not limited to, Black, Hispanic/Latin, Asian, and Indigenous communities), socio-economic background, veteran status, faith (including but not limited to Christian, Jewish and Muslim), caregiving, and flexible working. These groups foster connection and awareness at BCG and are open to all.

Compensation Practices

We ensure fair and competitive pay through market-based salaries aligned with job requirements. We comply with pay equity laws such as the UK’s Gender Pay Gap reporting.
