Patrick Sykes is Boston Consulting Group's North America lead for M&A. With deep expertise in M&A and strategy, Patrick specializes in industrial goods, working with both financial sponsors and corporate acquirers. As a core member of BCG’s Industrial Goods and Corporate Finance & Strategy practices, he offers a unique perspective at the intersection of these disciplines, bringing clarity and strategic vision to clients’ most critical decisions. His client base consists mostly of engineered products businesses, though his experience spans the broader industrials and services landscape.

In his recent M&A work, Patrick has led both buy- and sell-side support for over $50 billion in transacted enterprise value. Notable highlights include a four-team, three-continent, global market study of engineered products carve-out, a global market study in the plastics industry, and a buy-side assessment of a transformative merger of equals in engineered products. Patrick has also spearheaded various strategic initiatives, growth programs, and commercial excellence efforts across a broad range of industries.

Before joining the firm, Patrick worked at Capital One in the US and UK.
