Akira Abe joined Boston Consulting Group in 2015. He leads new business launches and corporate venturing at BCG X, the firm’s tech build and design division. Akira supports clients in the insurance, logistics, and health care industries as they create new businesses. In particular, he has extensive experience creating new businesses through the build-operate-transfer (BOT) method.

Prior to joining BCG, Akira worked at DeNA and at mixi, Inc. Before that, he worked at NTT DOCOMO Inc. and at a startup that specializes in image recognition.
