Alessandra Catozzella

Alessandra Catozzella is a core member of the Health Care and Public Sector practices at Boston Consulting Group. She works with health care private payers and providers, and leads the development of public sector health care across the EMC region (Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, and Caspian).

Since joining BCG in 2021, Alessandra has advised health care payers, providers, and systems on driving integrated, digital, and data-enabled health care strategies. She works with major hospitals, public health organizations, health tech companies, and insurers on projects including redesigning operating models optimizing hospital performance and workforce management, data-driven models for population health risk stratification, care and provider management (such as overtreatment), market segmentation and pricing, set up of digital ecosystem of services with focus on health and welfare (home care, assisted living, telemedicine, corporate welfare).

Her work extends to public health tenders and strategic agreements in diagnostics, hospitals, and health technologies, promoting advanced healthtech solutions and driving systemic improvements.

Prior to joining BCG, Alessandra held senior roles at leading international insurance companies in Italy and Switzerland, including at AXA Italia, where she was most recently Head of Health and Executive Director. These experiences helped her develop a knowledge of the health care and insurance landscapes, including risk management, building service ecosystems, leveraging advanced data analytics for predictive models and health care optimization, and driving payer-provider vertical integration.
