As a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Tech & Digital Advantage practice, as well as BCG X, the firm's tech build and design unit, Alexander Duerloo focuses on boosting organizational productivity and effectiveness through cutting-edge AI solutions. He helps clients develop AI strategy, build AI systems, and transform processes to maximize the value from AI.
Alexander has hands-on experience as an operator in technology development and large-scale deployment programs applied to domains, including marketing, pricing, planning, forecasting, and back-office information processing.
Alexander has worked across Europe, the US, and the UK. He was previously based in BCG's Seattle office, where he helped develop BCG’s fast-growing generative AI business in 2023. He also supports BCG’s partnerships with key technology players.
Alexander has more than 15 years of experience applying computational methods and AI to real-world challenges. Prior to joining BCG, he was a scientist at Stanford University where he used computer simulations and AI models to discover new nanomaterial applications. He is the author of 14 scientific papers, two of which are highly influential with approximately 1,000 citations, and is an inventor on two US patents.
