Ben Gottesdiener is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Energy and Corporate Finance & Strategy practices as well as BCG's Center for Energy Impact. Ben focuses on value creation topics in energy, including total shareholder return (TSR), investor strategy, capital allocation strategy, M&A/divestitures, and corporate and portfolio strategy.

As an expert for the Center for Energy Impact, Ben coauthored BCG's energy value-creator report on drivers of shareholder returns for the largest 150 energy companies. He was a coauthor of BCG's Bridging the $18 Trillion Gap in Net Zero Capital study on capital allocation and investment trends in the energy industry, and co-creator of studies on M&A and divestiture trends in the energy industry and private equity/infrastructure funds, and European power and utilities M&A and divestiture trends. He also contributed to the energy transition blueprint that forms BCG's global point of view on the energy transition.

In addition, Ben has been involved in client work across the energy value chain, including for a battery storage company, regulated utilities, power generation/renewables companies, midstream companies, an LNG company, and an integrated oil and gas company.

Prior to joining BCG, Ben was a Director in EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Transactions practice and an Associate in Bank of America’s Energy, Utilities and Chemicals equity research group. He also held roles at Cube Hydro (renewables corporate development), The Federal Reserve Bank of NY (strategy), JPMorgan Chase (strategy), and ISI (equity research). Ben is a CFA charterholder.
