Charmian Caines is the global topic lead for climate adaptation and resilience at BCG. She leads work supporting national, state, and local governments and development finance institutions in navigating the challenges of climate change and preparing robust action plans with localized solutions.

She has completed a range of projects across West and sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, leveraging BCG’s analytics-driven end-to-end approach to build resilience in cities and countries. Charmian also leads BCG’s engagement with large multilateral development institutions and collaborative efforts with UN agencies and emerging market governments on multiyear development programs.

Earlier in her career at BCG, Charmian led the firm's Consumer practice in the UK and Europe, supporting CEOs of retail and consumer goods companies in all aspects of strategy and implementation.
