Christopher Freese leads BCG's Insurance practice in Germany and Austria and the "digital in insurance" topic globally. Previously, he built BCG's insurance business in the US. Christopher supports his clients in broad transformation efforts—creating growth, driving efficiency and customer satisfaction, digitizing the core business and digital disruption.

Some of his recent experience includes creating customer-focused digital market-entry strategies for German and international insurance companies, founding and commercializing a successful German direct insurer, and developing an assistance-focused business extension in the mobility space for the leading German car insurer. Christopher has also designed and introduced digital ecosystems for a leading public health insurer in Germany,

  • helped digitize customer journeys for a leading international insurance group, and
  • developed a new disruptive insurance business.
