Damon Bland is a core group member of the Industrial Goods and Operations practices at Boston Consulting Group, where he has worked since 2014. Damon focuses on operations strategy and effectiveness in the metals and mining, oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, fast-moving consumer goods, medical technology, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Damon’s approach to his work combines insider knowledge of top global companies with a practical ability to drive sustainable change across functional, value stream, and business boundaries. He has led headroom assessments, lean step-change initiatives, continuous-improvement programs, operational-excellence efforts, turnarounds, and manufacturing network redesign.
Damon recently advised RioTinto in applying lean thinking to drive productivity in its global iron-ore operations. He also helped redesign the end-to-end supply-chain for Woodside Energy's materials-management processes and helped build Tata Steel's operational-excellence capabilities.
