Dave Tapper is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Industrial Goods and Operations practices in Australia and New Zealand. He is also an expert with BCG TURN, which helps clients deliver rapid, visible performance improvements in the short term while strengthening their organizations and positioning them to win in the future.

Since joining BCG in 1997, David has worked with clients in industrial goods, resources, agribusiness (dairy), and infrastructure to execute major strategy, performance improvement, and change programs. He has extensive experience in organization and operational effectiveness, including projects related to post-merger integration, "role of the center" reviews, development of innovation processes, global organization redesign, and asset productivity.

David’s client engagements have included designing and implementing a number of turnaround and transformation programs, conducting portfolio reviews, and formulating strategy for business model design and growth pathways. He has also advised energy clients on industry reform options and the potential impact of deregulation for the New Zealand electricity industry.

Before joining BCG, he worked for a New Zealand-based consulting firm that specialized in redesigning business operating models and processes.
