Jean-Michel Binefa is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Institutions and Climate & Sustainability practices.

Since joining BCG in January 2020, Jean-Michel has focused on climate transition related topics for financial institutions, such as transition finance go-to-market agendas in high-emitting sectors, new low-carbon technologies financing, and net-zero transformations. He has also worked on business and functional transformations, as well as digital and data related projects.

Jean-Michel began his career with Société Générale’s Inspection department in 2004, and was subsequently appointed to the Management Committee of the department, before joining its capital market activities where he held several leadership roles (including serving as Global co-Head of eCommerce, Digital, and Internal Forex).
