Jens Gjerrild is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s global Energy and Climate & Sustainability practices. He advises clients and knowledge partners around the globe on subjects covering renewables generation, utility strategy, and power retail. He has experience across the utility value chain, from generation through transmission, distribution, retail, and smart city services, and has helped industry players of all types prepare for the energy transition.

His top area of expertise is offshore wind, and he has worked as both an industry leader and executive advisor across both mature and developing markets, working on strategy development, performance optimization, digital strategy, bid strategy, and due diligence.

Jens’s offshore wind clients have included developers/operators for bottom-fixed, floating, and system integrated wind, as well as suppliers along the full supply chain, and governments. Before joining BCG, Jens held leadership positions in the energy industry, as Global Offshore Wind Lead and Nordic Renewables Lead at Accenture, as well as heading up a risk management and strategy function at offshore wind developer Ørsted.
