Jim Zortman is an Executive Coach and Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group. He is a member of BCG Federal Corp, a wholly owned BCG subsidiary focused on the US Federal Government market. Jim is a former Vice Admiral with the US Navy, a Navy Aviator, and a ten-year Northrop Grumman senior executive. He has extensive board of directors experience.

As a coach, Jim has experience working with CEOs, board chairs, and other senior executives to lead transformations; improve leadership team collaboration and effectiveness; manage conflict, messaging, and communication; improve decision-making; and lead through crises.

As Commander of all US Navy Aviation Forces, Jim led the selection and development of commanders of carrier fighter pilots and nuclear aircraft carrier commanders. He also personally led Naval Forces in several combat operations. As SVP of Global Operational Support and Logistics at Northrop Grumman Aerospace, Jim led and coached executives designing and manufacturing highly technical products, with particular emphasis in unmanned aircraft, stealth fighters and bombers, and complex surveillance systems.
