Joan Camprubi is co-leader of Boston Consulting Group’s Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) practice in Spain and Portugal, as well as a core member of the Industrial Goods and Consumer practices for Europe. He leads the firm’s work in sustainability and climate in infrastructure, transportation, and cities for Western Europe and Latin America.

Since joining the firm in 2011, Joan has worked on more than 80 mergers and acquisitions engagements including transactions, PMIs, and portfolio work. He has served clients in industrial goods (infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate, waste management, automotive) mainly on infrastructures, logistics, circular economy, mobility, smart cities and environmental services topics; and consumer goods (food, fashion, travel and tourism), as well as supporting health care, financial services, energy, and telco companies.

Joan has conducted several large transformations, turnarounds, and restructuring strategies in industrial and infrastructure companies, including renewable energy, water engineering, construction, EPC, and original equipment manufacturing (OEM) projects. He has significant experience in industrial services, mobility, electrification, green hydrogen solutions, risk management, and project profitability improvement.

Before joining the firm, Joan launched several startups/business related to hospitality and retail, as well as being a seed investor. He later launched a small early stage venture capital firm, Gregarious Seeds.
