Joe Butler is a member of Boston Consulting Group’s Energy and Operations practices, and he leads much of the firm’s work with energy clients in Australia. Joe works on a range of strategy and operational improvement topics, and he has experience across Australia, Canada, the US, and New Zealand.
Since joining BCG in 2007, Joe has worked with more than a dozen Australian electricity and gas networks. These engagements have addressed organization and process redesign, portfolio and growth strategy, post-merger integration, large capital project management, procurement, and many other topics. He also has extensive experience with public sector and industrial clients.
Joe previously worked as a structural engineer, a policy advisor at the Cape York Institute for Policy & Research, and a member of the senior management team at Cricket Australia.
