Johannes Thoms joined Boston Consulting Group in 2007. He worked at BCG in Los Angeles and Zurich before moving to London. He is a member of the Health Care and Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) practices at the firm.
Johannes works primarily at the intersection of private equity and health care, with a particular focus on biopharma, biopharma services, and in-vitro diagnostics/life science tools, both in transaction and post-close value-creation settings. He also has considerable experience in the pharmaceutical and medical technology industry working for global companies on commercial and transformation topics.
As part of the leadership team in the London, Amsterdam, and Brussels (LAB) region, Johannes is responsible for BCG’s business development activities, and helps support the growth agenda of that region and strengthen BCG's client portfolio. He is also a member of the firm’s medical technology leadership team, and previously led the PIPE practice in LAB.
