Kristi Woolsey joined Boston Consulting Group in June 2017. She is the firm's Smart Environments leader and the squad leader for BCG X's Spatial Studio. BCG X is the firm's technology design-build organization.

Kristi works with a diverse set of clients to create future experiences by leveraging emerging technologies, service and process reimagining, and physical space design . She leads tech build teams in creating mock-ups and proofs-of-concept that are used to test and validate with users and markets, providing a solid foundation for strategic technology, real estate, and upskilling roadmaps. At the end of these engagements, her clients are aligned around a clear vision of a future state and the steps required to get there.

Kristi has over 30 years of experience in strategy, design, engineering, and products. She is a physical space architect. She leads execution teams to deliver value-adding solutions for various industries, including manufacturing, retail, health care, hospitality, and workplace. She is also an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University, where she teaches in the Integrated Innovation Institute. Kristi is a frequent public speaker and thought leader on topics related to the future of experience design and technology and has delivered two TEDx talks.

Before joining BCG, Kristi spent 15 years running her own architectural firm, providing architecture, interior design, construction, and FF&E services. Prior to that she was on the faculty at Arizona State University with a research specialization in behavioral strategy.
