Makoto Morihara rejoined Boston Consulting Group in 2019, having previously worked at the firm from 2011 to 2017. He is a core member of BCG’s Public Sector, and Climate & Sustainability practices. In addition to Tokyo, he has worked at BCG’s Chicago office. From 2017 to 2019, Makoto worked at Aoyama Shachu Corporation.

Makoto works with clients in the public sector including central government agencies and companies in a wide range of industries on public policy and response measures. Makato has extensive experience supporting economic security, climate change, smart cities, and regional development.

Prior to joining BCG, Makoto worked at the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
