Ron Nicol has been a senior advisor to Boston Consulting Group since January 2016. Prior to that, he was a longtime senior partner and managing director of the firm.
At BCG, Ron held roles as the global leader of the Organization practice; global leader of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice; leader of the South System; and chairman of North and South America.
Ron's focus has been on telecommunications and airlines, and he has worked on major business transformations with a number of Fortune 50 companies. He specializes in strategy development, organization transformation and delayering, customer discovery, merger and acquisition advice, and the development of major cost-reduction programs.
In 2006, he received a Top 25 Consultant award from Consulting magazine.
Before joining BCG in 1987, Ron held senior positions with Babcock and Wilcox and was a US naval officer, serving aboard a nuclear ballistic missile submarine and teaching nuclear engineering.
