Ross Middleton joined Boston Consulting Group in 2001. He is a core member of the firm's Industrial Goods, Operations, and People & Organization practices. He leads BCG's work in metals and mining in North America.
Ross works to increase BCG’s presence in the Calgary and Western Canada region by building long-lasting relationships with many of the region’s leading firms, the Alberta government, and key not-for-profit organizations in the local community. He has 20-plus years of experience in the mining and energy sectors.
Ross’s projects have included portfolio optimization (such as asset productivity, procurement, and lean-organization design), large-capital-project management and sustaining-capital optimization, and mine operational excellence.
He also has experience in the manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and financial services arenas. Before joining BCG, Ross spent five years with North Ltd as a managing geologist. He played a principal role in establishing a new exploration office within West Africa and designing and implementing an exploration strategy for the region.
