Sanjay Chari leads Boston Consulting Group's consumer and retail work in Melbourne, and is the global co-lead for Convenience & Fuel Retail within the Consumer practice. He also serves as the firm’s marketing lead for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Sanjay is an expert in large-scale transformations, and has successfully led value delivery programs covering all aspects of profit and loss in multiple formats, including ecommerce/omnichannel, department stores, mass-market grocery, specialty retail, club/discount, and convenience. He has experience advising different ownership structures—publicly listed, private, and private equity-backed.

Sanjay has worked across several markets during his over 15 years with BCG, with a particular focus on Asia-Pacific and the US. He has delivered bottom-line impact through EBIT expansion in several top-line growth and cost optimization programs, and is a leader in the firm's value delivery efforts in ANZ.

Prior to joining BCG, Sanjay held positions at Credit Suisse & Macquarie.
