Sumit Gupta currently leads Boston Consulting Group’s Climate & Sustainability practice in the Asia Pacific region. In the past, he led the Industrial Goods practice in India and was global head of digital for materials and process industries. In his over 15-year career, Sumit has advised industrial clients on climate, decarbonization, strategy development, digital business builds, post-merger integrations, digital transformation, cost reduction, and large organizational change. He currently leads the India office's largest decarbonization engagement with a metals client. He recently led the end-to-end digital transformation of a steel company for over three years that delivered strong bottom-line impact, diversification of portfolio, sales enhancement, manufacturing and cost optimization, and the design and implementation of agile ways of working.
