Thomas Payen is a core member of the Health Care and Social Impact practices at Boston Consulting Group, working with clients from the private and public sectors. As part of the firm's global health team, he has a specific focus on strategy definition, transformation, and market shaping. His recent projects include developing an African strategy to limit the emergence of resistance to ACTs for malaria, and supporting the inception of an oxygen taskforce during the COVID-19 pandemic period for a global health partnership.

As part of the Health Care practice, Thomas works on strategic reviews, large-scale transformations—including carveouts and PMIs—and commercial excellence projects. His recent projects include the redesign of a commercial business unit to create a better balance of power between commercial functions and franchises, and support for a large-scale reorganization around Europe for a biopharma company.
