Yoshiaki Tsukahara initially worked at Boston Consulting Group from 2000 to 2015 after working for Mitsubishi Corporation. He left to work for international private equity firms and rejoined the firm in 2019. He leads the firm’s Travel, Cities & Infrastructure practice in Japan, and is a core member of the Consumer practice.

In his work at BCG, Yoshiaki has advised airports and airline companies, railroad companies, and retail industry clients—including supermarkets—and clients in media and entertainment industries. Yoshiaki’s recent work has covered digital transformation, marketing, supply chain/logistics, and mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integration.
