Tackling Changing Customer Demands with Digital Transformation

BCG X and AWS teamed up with BMW to implement and scale a critical automotive AI transformation. In response to changing customer demands, environmental conditions, and supply chain, BMW launched a worldwide cloud platform that leverages AI to make data available across the entire supply chain and anticipate customer needs. The company now uses AI at scale to inform decision making in sales, inventory, volume allocation, and pricing.

BCG, AWS, and one of the world's leading suppliers of intelligent robotics, worked together to develop an industrial platform-as-a-service. By leveraging cloud hosting to launch a new service, the robotics company was able to offer simulation tools and other industrial software solutions on a consumption-based model. The collaboration will open new revenue streams, increase market share, and position the client as a leader in industrial software.
