Aparna Bijapurkar works at the intersection of Boston Consulting Group's Public Sector and Social Impact practices. She covers topics related to the rural economy, with a special focus on agriculture and allied industries. Her clients include state and central governments, agribusinesses and startups, development finance institutions, and not-for-profits.

Aparna's work is focused on transforming farmers' livelihoods and creating greater value for all stakeholders, through value chain development, export promotion, agri-digitization, access to finance, and enabling greater climate adaptation and resilience. She has also worked with leading agribusinesses (both input and output) on growth acceleration and diversification. Beyond the agriculture and allied industries, Aparna also works on non-farm growth and entrepreneurship, with a special focus on micro and small enterprise development.

Aparna spent a year with BCG’s Henderson Institute, working on the theme of new globalization. Prior to joining BCG, Aparna was the India Country Economist at the International Growth Center.
