Seit mehr als 20 Jahren sind die Ausgaben für das deutsche Gesundheitssystem stärker gewachsen als die Gesamtwirtschaft. Somit positioniert sich Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich als eines der Länder mit den höchsten Gesundheitskosten, aber ohne eine qualitativ überdurchschnittliche Versorgung. Sollte sich diese Entwicklung fortschreiben, werden die Gesundheitsausgaben bis 2040 um bis zu 80% (€ 300 Mrd.) wachsen.

Carolin Eistert is a is a core group member of the Health Care practice at Boston Consulting Group, with a focus on the payer segment. She currently serves as head of recruiting for Germany and Austria.
After joining BCG in November 2007, Carolin worked for companies across different industries and on different functional topics before focusing on payers, most often working on large scale transformations, growth strategies, HR topics and change management, and real estate development projects.
From 2009 to 2012 Carolin took an educational leave to study for a DPhil/PhD in political science.
