Christian Schwaerzler is the chair of Boston Consulting Group's Center for Public Economics. He is a global expert on economic development and development strategies, and a member of the firm's Public Sector practice leadership team.
Christian works with both private and public sector organizations on growth and development topics and helps clients define, navigate, and achieve their socioeconomic ambitions. He leads engagements on economic policy and government decision making, private sector development and diversification, local content development, balance of payment and trade, and employment and human capital strategy.
Before joining BCG in 2007, Christian gathered experience at L.E.K. Consulting, Siemens, an e-commerce startup, and other consulting firms in Europe, North America, and Nigeria.
