Daniel Acosta is the West Coast System lead for Boston Consulting Group.
While at BCG, Daniel has worked with governments at the federal, state, and city/local levels—as well as international organizations—in the US, Caribbean, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Part of the founding team of BCG’s US Public Sector practice, Daniel has worked on engagements in infrastructure and transportation, economic development, education and workforce development, public health systems, and digital government. With a focus on strategy and people and organization issues, such as performance management, change management, and culture change, Daniel works with clients to achieve large-scale transformations of their organizations and operations. His private sector clients included media and entertainment and financial services companies.
Building on his background in international development, Daniel also works with BCG’s Social Impact and Global Advantage ractices, helping companies and governments bridge the gap between developing and developed markets. He has also been one of the leaders of BCG’s work supporting disaster recovery, including support for state and local governments navigating COVID’s impact.
Daniel’s deep public sector experience dates from his service as a Foreign Service Officer with the US Department of State, as an Economics Officer in Washington, DC and overseas. Daniel is an active member of the Black+Latinx@BCG Network and sits on the boards of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the Latino Donor Collaborative, and KPCC/Southern California Public Radio, among other activities.
