Ernesto Wandeler is a core member of BCG’s Technology Media and Telecommunication (TMT), Energy, and Corporate Finance & Strategy practices. He leads BCG’s Global Center for High-Stakes Auctions and Tenders, as well as BCG’s TMT practice in Central Europe.
Ernesto is a leading auction expert and has extensive global experience in supporting bidders and auctioneers end-to-end in high-stakes auctions and tenders across industries. Ernesto has also extensive experience in mobile and fixed telecommunication networks, 5G, offshore wind and other large-scale renewable energy sources, hydrogen, and a broad range of strategy topics. He has supported clients in more than 30 countries on six continents.
Prior to joining BCG, Ernesto worked as a research assistant at the Computer Engineering and Networks Laboratory of ETH Zurich. He also has extensive work experience as a software engineer in Beijing, Boston, and Switzerland and spent significant time as a visiting scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, and at Imperial College London.
