Fergie Romero is a core member of the Financial Institutions (FI) and Corporate Finance & Strategy (CFS) practices at the Boston Consulting Group.

Since joining BCG, she has worked predominantly supported clients with strategic business growth and organizational transformations, with a focus on people, talent, and culture.

Fergie leads BCG’s Women in Financial Institutions for the Australia/New Zealand region. She is part of the leadership team of CFS in Australia, leading their Diversity Equity and Inclusion agenda.

During her time with BCG, she has supported large financial institutions in Australia, New Zealand, North America, the Middle East and the UK, gaining significant experience in designing and implementing scaled agile transformations, contracting and negotiating long-term strategic partnerships for her clients, and more recently, supporting leading financial institutions develop their net-zero climate strategies.

In 2018, she spent ten months seconded to the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) as a Product Owner, leading their loyalty and rewards program in the Everyday Banking Portfolio.

Prior to joining BCG, Fergie worked as a structural engineer, focused primarily on large public infrastructure and biosecurity projects. She also spent some time abroad, delivering water and sanitation projects for non-profit organizations in locations such as Papua New Guinea, India, and Latin America.
