Frank Palmer is a core member of the Operations practice at Boston Consulting Group, specializing in procurement. Frank has worked across several industries, including consumer, health care, and financial services. His current areas of focus are smart consumption, supplier diversity, procurement post-merger integration, and large-scale change. He also advises clients on topics including procurement operating model, category strategy, and supplier negotiation.
Recently, Frank has led programs on demand-driven cost reduction for a large US-based retailer, procurement synergy capture for two large health care companies and two large financial services institutions, and supplier diversity strategy for a Fortune 50 company.
Prior to joining BCG in 2016, Frank worked as a researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he developed data-based predictive models to guide surgical decision making. While there, he co-authored over 70 papers published in peer reviewed medical journals and co-founded a medical device startup with a novel approach to endoscopic surgery.
