Frederik Flock is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Industrial Goods practice focusing on chemicals clients. He joined BCG in Hamburg in 2018 and moved to the Chicago office in 2021. As a specialist in the chemicals industry, Frederik has extensive experience in strategy development, large-scale transformation, and M&A, working with clients across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
In recent years, Frederik has played a key role in shaping growth strategies, advancing sustainability agendas, and driving performance improvement and restructuring programs. His work extends to operations, digital innovation, and operating model redesign, ensuring organizations stay competitive in an evolving landscape. Frederik has led several major transformations across various chemicals segments and adjacencies, with hands-on expertise in large-scale change efforts, always fostering strong global connections. He serves as career development advisor for BCG’s Chicago office and coauthors the firm’s Annual Chemicals Value Creators Report.
Prior to coming to BCG, he worked in consulting at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co.) and German consultancies, with a focus on performance improvement and restructuring.
