Jean-Michel Caye is the global head of Boston Consulting Group’s human resources and talent and leadership topics worldwide. He is also a core member of the pharmaceutical and banking topics, various industry practices, and the Corporate Development practice.
A BCG Fellow since 2011, Jean-Michel’s research topic has been talent. He believes that the so-called "war for talent" has reached unprecedented levels because of global aging and economic development—and the solution must come from building, not buying, new talent. His goal is to determine the ingredients for creating a successful approach to building talent
Through Jean-Michel’s work at BCG, he has accumulated deep knowledge of most people advantage domains. He has extensive experience in international postmerger integrations, focusing on program management, cultural integration, and employee communications. He understands the people issues that are involved in turnarounds, including workforce restructuring and workforce engagement.
In addition, he has worked extensively on HR transformation in several areas, such as transport equipment, power generation, and electrical contracting companies.
Prior to joining BCG in 1998, Jean-Michel was director at Hay Group, responsible of the reward and pharmaceutical practices in France. He led several HR and organization cases in the fields of sales force effectiveness, reward policies, competence assessment and development, reorganization, and culture change. He also has experience in the IT service industry.
Jean-Michel Caye, managing director and senior partner at BCG, discusses the importance of the longest-running global HR study and the partnership between BCG and the WFPMA.
