Jennifer Clawson
Jennifer Clawson is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Health Care practice and the global coordinator for the firm's value-based health care program, working with clients across all sectors of the industry.
Since joining BCG in 1999, Jennifer has worked extensively in value-based health care, partnering with numerous clients to create new value-based business models and evaluate strategic opportunities to improve health outcomes. In addition, she helped design data-driven business models on condition and patient level for a large private-provider organization and has implemented a clinical trials registry and database.
Jennifer also played a key role in the establishment of ICHOM (the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement), a not-for-profit organization focused on health care outcome measurement that was cofounded by BCG with Michael Porter of Harvard Business School and the Karolinska Institute.
Prior to joining BCG, Jennifer was a vice president at J.P. Morgan, where she worked on the futures brokerage business and the investment banking business.
Dwindling resources and rising rates of chronic disease place a growing burden on health care. BCG experts explain how to use digital and data to enable equitable access going forward.
How can health systems deliver patient-centered, value-based care worldwide? To answer this question, BCG experts Stefan Larsson, Jennifer Clawson, and Josh Kellar (with Robert Howard) examine powerful case studies of public and private innovators in high- and low-income countries alike. The Patient Priority is designed as a practical step-by-step guide for clinicians, payers, and policymakers to put these ideas into action.
