As healthcare faces a mounting burden with dwindling resources and a rise in chronic diseases, Johanna Benesty discusses two imminent issues and advocates for the strategic use of digital and data approaches to ensure future equitable access.

Johanna Benesty is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Health Care and Social Impact practices. She leads the firm's work in global health, as well as BCG X in France.

Since joining BCG in 2007, Johanna has worked with leading health care organizations, both private and public sector, on advancing equitable access to health care products and services in high income and low- and middle-income countries. Her work has spanned a wide range of strategic and operational issues, including defining the go-to-market models for specific vaccines, developing strategies for generics, and defining generic drug portfolios for emerging markets. Johanna has also helped health care clients build digital and analytics capabilities to improve access to health.

Johanna has extensive experience partnering with social impact and UN organizations dedicated to improving public health. Her work has included supporting global strategies on maternal and child health, malaria, immunization, and HIV, and setting up access programs for vaccines.

Prior to joining BCG, Johanna was an intern in the strategy departments of Disneyland Resort Paris, Star Alliance in Frankfurt, and L.E.K. in Paris.
