Lachlan George is a cybersecurity specialist at Boston Consulting Group and core member of the firm's Technology & Digital Advantage practice. He has extensive operational experience assisting large global companies in managing risks to their information and technology assets, developing business-aligned cybersecurity strategies, supporting business response and recovery following highly disruptive cyberattacks, and delivering large-scale cybersecurity transformation programs.

Lachlan also focuses on cybersecurity M&A and corporate strategy, advising both investors (VC and PE) and corporate clients on the cybersecurity market, commercial/product/go-to-market strategy for cybersecurity vendors, and cyber and commercial due diligence.

He has worked with clients in industries including financial services; technology, media, and telecommunications; consumer goods and retail; industrial; energy; mining; and the public sector.

Immediately prior to coming to BCG, Lachlan worked as Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a fast-casual dining and consumer goods group with operations in 15 countries. Before that, he worked in cybersecurity consulting roles at Deloitte UK and Australia, and at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence. He has a strong technical background in penetration testing, security architecture, and risk management complemented by an MBA with a focus on innovation, new ventures, corporate strategy, and finance.
