María López leads Boston Consulting Group's Health Care practice in Iberia and South America, and she is a core member of BCG's People & Organization practice, as well as a member of BCG's Health Care Scientist Network. She also leads the work associated with the Women's Initiative at BCG.

Since joining BCG in 2008, María has worked primarily in the health care industry, helping clients address their most critical challenges in business (strategy, sales, and market access) and organization (reorganization design, new ways of working, and change management).

She has worked with several companies from different industries over the course of her career, primarily on projects addressing organizational issues.

In 2012, Maria worked as an international change manager for Save the Children, one of BCG’s global social impact clients.

Recently, María has been driving the design and implementation of new ways of working in an agile delivery organization for general industries. She also partners with companies to achieve their goals in digital transformations, focusing on people and organization lens.

Prior to joining BCG, Maria was teaching at Heriot-Watt University, and has authored a number of scientific publications
