Marie-Luise Meyer is an expert in sustainable metals, especially green steel. She is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Climate & Sustainability and Industrial Goods practices, and her expertise includes sourcing and commercial/go-to-market topics as well as production scenario-based PCF modeling and certification.

Marie-Luise has worked in many different regions for BCG, including projects in Western Europe, the Middle East, and North America. She has worked with clients on conceptualizing and calculating certifiable product carbon footprints, large-scale transformations, and carbon strategies based on Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF). In one recent engagement, she developed a flexible PCF calculation model for a steel producer considering different production scenarios including the use of natural gas and green hydrogen. In addition to steel producers and metal distributors, she has worked with clients in steel-consuming industries, especially automotive manufacturing.
