Michael Demyttenaere is a core member of BCG’s Corporate Finance & Strategy and Transform practices at Boston Consulting Group. He leads North America's CFO Excellence work at BCG, and has significant expertise in corporate finance and value acceleration.
In his role as CFO Excellence leader, Michael works with CFOs on driving greater efficiency and effectiveness in finance functions. His expertise includes end-to-end finance transformations, operating model redesign, organization redesign, implementation of advanced planning and forecasting capabilities, and digital transformations.
Michael has also led multiple turnaround and cost transformation efforts, helping clients deliver rapid, visible performance improvements in the short term, while strengthening their organization and positioning them to win in the future. This includes companies in stagnation, relative underperformance, or crisis, as well as at points of discontinuity (such as leadership changes or pressure from activist investors).
Before joining the firm, and before attending Columbia Business School, Michael was a consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
