Mir Salim is a core member of the Principal Investors & Private Equity and Corporate Finance & Strategy practices at Boston Consulting Group. His clients are predominantly Malaysian institutional investors and their portfolio companies, especially in the energy and infrastructure industries.

An economist by training, Mir also advises public sector clients on economic growth and development topics. His client work has ranged from crafting strategic blueprints to engineering optimal market structures and monetizing business lines. His recent engagements have included identifying new investment opportunities, supporting strategic portfolio transactions, and developing collaboration models for competing companies in response to sector consolidation.

Before joining the firm, Mir was an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
