Niels Volkmer is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Transform and Energy practices. Since joining BCG in 2017, Niels has helped energy, industrial, consumer goods, and other clients through significant transformations and turnarounds, operational model redesigns, and performance and cash improvements.

His recent engagements include assisting a multinational software company during its global restructuring, helping a European energy trading company in revamping its business model and security substantial financing, leading the operational model overhaul of a leading global energy firm, streamlining the organization and reducing production capacities for a major energy technology enterprise, and implementing a significant working capital optimization project for a European electric utility.

Before joining BCG, Niels held the position of senior manager in the restructuring practice at PwC.
