Ricole Tan is Boston Consulting Group's regional lead for special situations (turnaround and restructuring) for Asia Pacific, and a core member of BCG Transform. She has over 25 years of experience advising underperforming/stressed/distressed businesses. She is also a member of the Climate & Sustainability practice and has considerable experience advising on sustainable financing topics.
Ricole has helped many clients with both operational and financial restructuring, including performance improvements, cost reductions, liquidity management, balance sheet optimizations, carve-outs and divestitures, and debt restructuring and refinancing with the aim of creating sustainable businesses poised for growth.
Currently based in Singapore, Ricole has worked in many different locations and been involved in many complex cross-border transactions, including in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and China; Japan; the US; the UK; and Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand. Although she has worked in many industries, Ricole has extensive experience working with mining, plantations, energy, shipping and logistics, aviation, hospitality, consumer, and real estate companies.
Before joining the firm, Ricole was a Senior Managing Director, Corporate Finance & Restructuring Hong Kong and Head of Indonesia at FTI Consulting, and before that, a Director at Global Restructuring Group at The Royal Bank of Scotland.
