Saibal Chakraborty leads Boston Consulting Group’s Tech & Digital Advantage (TDA) practice in India and drives the firm’s digital transformation agenda for public and private sector clients. He is a core member of the firm's Public Sector practice and leads the Centre for Digital Government (CDG) in India. He has over 25 years of international and multi-sectoral experience, having worked in North America, Europe, and Asia before focusing on India over the last decade. Saibal also leads BCG’s business interests in Bangladesh.

Saibal’s expertise centers on large-scale technology transformation and digital capability building. Some specific areas of focus include modernizing legacy systems to cloud native architecture, digital applications and open platforms design and build, building enterprise-wide data platforms to enable advanced analytics/AI/GenAI, technology sourcing including complex public sector procurements, next-generation digital organization design, shared services transformations, and post-merger integrations. He has led engagements with clients in the financial services, public sector, utilities, transport, health care, and other industries. More recently, he has been shaping the AI agenda of the Indian government.

Prior to joining BCG, Saibal spent ten years at Booz & Company (formerly Booz Allen Hamilton) serving the technology agenda of large financial services, energy, and public sector clients, mostly in Europe. Prior to Booz & Company, Saibal worked as a software engineer and a technology architect at IBM, Lockheed Martin, and e-commerce startups—mostly in the US.
